RPM packages: distinguish “requested install” from “installed to satisfy dependencies” -

how can determine packages installed because i requested installation , packages automatically installed in order satisfy dependencies?

(this same this question debian systems.)

at least of centos 5 don't believe there such ability or marking in rpm/yum.

you can find out, using package-cleanup --leaves yum-utils package, installed packages leaves in rpm database. (add --all have include non-library packages in list.)
